For anything that doesn’t fit a DM command, email hello@strandandstone.com. Include your Slack workspace name (and team ID if you have it — DM Forge status to find yours) so we can locate your account quickly.

Self-service from Slack

Most account questions can be resolved by DMing Forge directly. Common commands:

• help — full DM command reference
• status — workspace info, billing status, team ID
• usage — token usage and estimated cost this month
• billing — manage subscription / payment
• update key — change AI provider API key
• switch provider — switch between Anthropic, OpenAI, OpenRouter
• set budget 50 — cap monthly LLM spend
• set model anthropic/claude-sonnet-4-6 — pick a custom chat model
• reset dashboard token — regenerate your dashboard URL if it leaked
• export my data — download a JSON bundle of your workspace data (GDPR Article 20)
• delete my data — permanently delete everything Forge knows about your workspace

Workspace dashboard

Your dashboard at /dashboard?token=<your_token> lets you:

• See channel sync status and recent activity
• Browse, edit, or flag-as-wrong any extracted memory
• Track usage and set a monthly budget cap
• Manage or cancel your subscription via the Stripe portal
• Regenerate the dashboard URL if you suspect it leaked

Common issues

Forge isn’t responding when I @mention it

• Make sure Forge is invited to the channel: /invite @Forge
• Check your AI provider key is valid: DM status — it’ll flag a broken key
• Check whether you’ve hit your monthly budget cap: DM usage

Daily briefs aren’t arriving

• Briefs only fire when there’s meaningful activity (commits, merged PRs, or active channel discussion). Quiet days get no brief by design.
• Make sure a repo is linked: @Forge repo set owner/repo
• If the GitHub App was uninstalled, briefs pause until you reconnect: DM add github org

I want to stop Forge in a specific channel

• Unlink the repo from the workspace dashboard’s Channels tab
• Or kick Forge from the channel: /kick @Forge — memories from that channel stay in your dashboard, listening stops

I want to delete my data entirely

• DM Forge delete my data and follow the confirmation. All channels, threads, memories, and usage logs are permanently deleted.
• Uninstalling Forge from Slack soft-deletes your data; we hard-delete after a 30-day window unless you reinstall.

Status & outages

If you suspect an outage, check whether forge-slack.fly.dev/health returns {ok: true}. If not, email us — we’re usually already on it.
