Acceptance of Terms

By installing, accessing, or using Forge, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you are using Forge on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these terms. If you do not agree, do not install or use the service.

Service Description

Forge is an AI-powered teammate for Slack, operated by Strand & Stone. Forge passively listens to Slack channels it is invited to, monitors connected GitHub repositories, and responds conversationally when mentioned. It provides daily project briefs, answers questions grounded in your codebase, and builds persistent context about your team's decisions and project history.

Forge is read-only by design. It does not push code, merge pull requests, or modify your repositories.

Bring Your Own Key (BYOK)

Forge requires you to provide your own Anthropic API key. All AI processing is performed via Anthropic's Claude API using your key. You are solely responsible for:

Forge's subscription fee covers the Forge platform itself and does not include AI API costs.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Data Handling

Forge accesses Slack messages and GitHub repository data as described in our Privacy Policy. By using Forge, you consent to this data access and processing. Your messages and project data are sent to Anthropic's Claude API using your own API key. Anthropic does not use API data for model training.

Each workspace's data is isolated. Your data is never shared with other workspaces or used to improve Forge's AI capabilities.

Intellectual Property

You retain full ownership of your data, including all Slack messages, GitHub repository content, and any other information processed by Forge. Forge does not claim any intellectual property rights over your content.

The Forge service, including its software, design, and documentation, is owned by Strand & Stone. These terms do not grant you any rights to Forge's intellectual property beyond the right to use the service as intended.

Disclaimer of Warranties

Forge is provided "as is" and "as available." AI-generated responses may be inaccurate or incomplete. You should always verify critical information independently. Strand & Stone makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, reliability, or availability of the service.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Strand & Stone shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of Forge. This includes, without limitation, damages for loss of data, revenue, or business opportunities.

Strand & Stone's total liability for any claim arising from these terms or your use of the service shall not exceed the amount you paid for Forge in the twelve months preceding the claim.

Termination

Either party may terminate this agreement at any time. You may terminate by uninstalling Forge from your Slack workspace. Strand & Stone may terminate or suspend your access for violation of these terms or for any reason with reasonable notice.

Upon termination, your workspace data will be deleted within 30 days. You may request immediate deletion by contacting us.

Modifications to Terms

Strand & Stone may update these terms from time to time. We will notify users of material changes via Slack DM or email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of Forge after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of Forge shall be resolved in the courts of Delaware.
